Summer time in my world brings dust storms, extreme heat, humidity, and blaring music.  It’s the season of weddings, and to alert the whole neighbourhood to the presence of a wedding celebration, the household will hook up a stereo system so that it is pointing out the windows.  Rather than keep all the revelry to themselves, they share their musical goodness with everyone. 

This morning, a house close to us began the audible evidence of marital bliss at 10 minutes before eight.  That would be 7:50 AM, if you want to get technical, and not one drop of caffeine had hit my system. 
All day, we’ve had the “pleasure” of “celebrating” along with this family; listening to the ululating, the bad dj changes and the high pitched feedback because someone doesn’t know how to work the equipment has been a delight. 

Just as my ears were about to start bleeding, the power cut out, and our generator kicked in.  We have internet and our neighbours have.. silence.  Ahh…
