Guess what’s baaaack!

Nearly 6 weeks from accident to completion of repairs.  Have I told you lately about how delightful it is to live where I do?  No?  Hm.. funny about that.

Our car-reunion-joy is short lived, however: My husband took the car to the dealership to get inspected, to make sure that all was as it should be.  Thank goodness he did because they discovered that the sensors for the air bags had not been replaced.  The new bags were installed, but the sensors that trigger the release of the bags must be replaced each time.  They were not. Let’s follow this through to the natural conclusion.  If my diligent man had not taken the car in for further inspection by the original makers of our vehicle, had there been another accident, the air bags would not deploy and who knows the extent of the injuries or fatalities.  I hate to think about it.  I’m just thankful that my dear one sacrificed precious study time to make sure that our newly repaired vehicle would indeed keep his family safe. 

So it looks like we will be losing our car for another 2 days this week.  Good thing, I guess.  I’m pretty sure I robbed a number of men of the points they had accumulated during Ramadan by causing them to double and triple take as I drove past.
