Two days ago, my girlfriend phoned me and said, “Do you want to go over to so-and-so’s house for tea?  I’m not sure when we’ll go.  I’ll phone you and then we’ll go, so be ready every day.” 

Good thing I made a pie and a double decker chocolate cake today.

I just got the call (2p.m).  At 5:00, I’m going for tea. 

Welcome to the desert!  We don’t really make dates well in advance.  In fact, I have a day planner that was given to me as a gift.  I use it to scribble down recipes that I’ve found on the internet that I want to try.  Other than that, there really isn’t a way that I can accurately plan my days.  It’s all Insha’Allah (if God wills). 

Today, God has willed for me to be ready for tea in 3 hours.
