My blog isn’t endorsed by any product or company. I don’t make any money off of my opinions or reviews, not that I have many worth a dime. But, I just wanted to say that so that you can totally and completely trust me when I say,
“I love, love, love my Tefal Actifry!”
This wonderful gadget is useful for making all sorts of previously oil-laden deep fried products with a fraction of the oil. While there is a plethora of meal varieties to be made in the ActiFry, I mainly use it for making fries.
At first I was skeptical when the promoter in the store told me that I would only need 1 tablespoon of oil to make a pound of fries. I thought, “Lies!” But sure, I’ll throw some money at it and take the risk. I am certainly and undeniably so very glad that I took the chance because it is A to the Awesome.
To prove my point, I have made short pictorial essay:
Step one through a many: scrub potatoes and cut into fries. Rinse in cold water. Drain. Pat dry with a tea towel. Put into the ActiFry machine and add 1 tablespoon of oil.
Chipped red nail polish is not a requirement for making delicious fries.
Set the frier to do its thing and wait for about 25 – 30 minutes. Transfer to another bowl and toss with seasoned salt.
On this day, I enjoyed my fries with a couple of chicken wraps with balsamic barbecue sauce, wrapped in a healthy protein bread wrap.
Crispy on the outside. Soft on the inside. I make a delicious mixture of ketchup, mayonnaise, and seasonings to dip them into, which maybe defeats the whole purpose of making “healthier” fries with less oil. Oh well. I want really to buy this fine piece of machinery for each and every one of you, but I’m afraid that you won’t appreciate it as much as you’d appreciate… say… coming over to my place for lunch.
