I finally executed a plan that turned out to be just as clever as I had suspected – Snuggie on the plane!
I rolled that bulky piece of flannel as tightly as I could and stuffed it into my purse (those gigantic purses are USEFUL!), and then I unfurled it with great flair once I got onto the plane. Glances of envy were shot my way as I tucked myself in, and even as I stretched out on the 4 seat row that I shared with Lola, my shoulders were covered while my toes were still cozy. The Mister said that people thought I looked ridiculous. But do you know what I think that is? Jealousy talk, that’s what. I was warm, and comfortable during the entire flight. When my food came, I didn’t have to sacrifice my warmth to fill my tummy with crummy sustenance. No, instead, I had the best of both worlds. I made a vow: I will always fly with my snuggie. I don’t care where I have to stuff it, I’ll get it onto the plane with me.
Just before we left, I realized that I didn’t have any warm shoes. The only footwear I owned exposed my 10 lower digits. Thankfully, the capital has some fantastic shopping, including a store that brings in brands from Europe. The very same store that I found my Coach lovelies, I found some really cute boots that were lined with warmy, cozy goodness. I sure am glad I bought the high boots rather than the low, ankle boots because we dealt with a LOT of snow in Paris. Just look at it!
It was freezing, so I’m glad I got the not-real fur lined boots. And the tassels on the side really made for an eye catching statement in the capital of all things fashion. “Look! My shoes move when I walk!”
