Dining Out

   Posted by: whitegirl Tags: ,

Was I a) at the hospital?

b) getting a vaccination?

c)  hurt?

The answer is: none of the above. This, believe it or not, is a restaurant. The medical-looking rolling screens are used as dividers between the tables to block the view so that women can eat freely without their face veils on. Adds a lot to freedom. Not so much to ambiance.

The restaurant industry doesn’t have a lot on offer in our city that is to our liking. When we do have the urge to treat ourselves to an easy meal, this is where we usually end up to fill ourselves on flat bread and grilled fish. No wonder The Mister says, “The best restaurant in town is in our kitchen, and the best cinema is in our living room.

We won’t be going out for a special Valentine’s Day dinner – not even to the desert-Drake.  I don’t plan on going back there until I’m ready to carry out the Hot-n-Sweet mission.  Instead, The Mister and I will have our very own simply lovely sunset tea-time rendezvous, enjoying the view from our balcony.  If you want it done right, do it yourself.
